I recently bought a Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for my Mac. It more than meets all the requirements. When I place or receive a video call, I get both audioo and video from the other person. Website Design by KPO Expert India. Licenced under Creative Common Licence.

Hello invulnerable0916 Your quick cam for notebooks pro will work with your Mac OS X (10.6.1) equipped macbook pro if it is Logitech Part/Number 861303 (USB/PID 08CB). One of the improvements added by Mac OS X 10.4.9 was support for USB Video Class (UVC) webcams. Therefore, any Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later can use any 'UVC' webcam. However, not all USB connected webcams meet the UVC standard. Per, QuickCam for Notebooks Pro comes in two different versions. Only the newer version identified above is UVC compliant and will work seamlessly with current Macs. If your quick cam for notebooks pro is the older version of quick cam for notebooks pro, Logitech Part/Number 861209 (USB/PIDnbsp;08C3), it is not 'UVC' compliant and does not work with Mac.

That must be the problem why my logitech cam isn't working on my mac. I have an older version of logitech quickcam for notebooks pro with part number 861209. 😟 You're welcome, invulnerable0916.
If you need an external camera and have one of these, any Mac-compatible, Firewire equipped, mini-DV camcorder will work. Alternatively, any USB webcam that conforms to the 'UVC' standard will work with your Mac:. eCamm sells both and UVC models. Apple (and many others) sells. Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 Software
Has introduced the QuickCam Pro Web cam that's Mac OS 9 (but not Mac OS X) compatible. The camera lets you tackle video instant messaging and capture videos and still images on your Mac. The US$99.95 QuickCam Pro 4000 can capture 1.3 megapixel still images and 640x480 video with its VGA CCD sensor. It has a swivel base that moves the camera up and down and rotates 360 degrees. Software enabled digital zoom offers the option to pan, tilt and zoom up to five times the normal viewing size. The QuickCam Pro 4000 includes a built-in microphone and a snapshot button.
